HIRSCH Porozell GmbH started up in Landskron/Carinthia
EPS shape molded parts go into production.

1976
Company relocated to Glanegg/Carinthia

1985
Start of internationalization with HIRSCH Machinery

Having built and optimized machines for in-house EPS shape molded parts production, a separate division starts selling the machines to customers on every continent.

1989
HIRSCH Insulating Materials set up

The development of a patented process for manufacturing EPS system boards for underfloor heating enables HIRSCH to enter the insulating materials market.

1990
Plant rebuilt after fire

Following a devastating fire on September 5, 1990, production is resumed again quickly thanks to the untiring dedication of all the employees. The manufacturing facility is practically rebuilt from scratch.

1992
Thermozell Entwicklungs- und Vertriebs GmbH formed

The development of Thermozell, a high thermal insulating lightweight concrete made of cement, water and ground EPS packaging, opens up new opportunities for recycling EPS.

1994
Hungarian subsidiary KURT HIRSCH Kft. established

A production plant for shape molded parts is set up at Sárvár Technology Park and started operation in 1997.

1996
Start with the Production of Presentationsystems

A company  which specializes in high-quality promotional products, is integrated in the Group.

1997
HIRSCH Servo AG floated


1998
Expansion into the EPS block mold sector with HIRSCH Italia S.r.l.

Italian block mold manufacturer Berndorf Italia is taken over, increasing the market potential of HIRSCH Machinery and Plant Engineering.

1998
HIRSCH Wieser GmbH launched

Cooperation with cutting machine experts Martin and Franz Wieser complements HIRSCH Machinery and Plant Engineering's range turning the company into the leading technology supplier to the EPS-processing industry.

2000
HIRSCH Machinery and Plant Engineering Competence Center built

A new manufacturing facility with its own research and development department is built at HIRSCH Servo Group headquarters in Glanegg for the Machinery and Plant Engineering division.

Cutting machine production relocated
The production plant for cutting machines is moved from Wiener Neudorf to HIRSCH Italia in Albavilla.

2002
Eastward expansion continued

In April two additional production sites for shape molded parts open in
Hungary (in Nyíregyháza and Jászfényszaru). 

2003
Further expansion of market position in Eastern Europe

HIRSCH continued to pursue its expansion strategy for Eastern Europe by acquiring a shape molding plant for transport packaging in Poland during 
June 2003.

2004
The construction of a second shape molding plant in Poland (Lòdz)

Sale of Presentation Systems division

Streamline of group structure as part of the reorientation process to increase value and earnings

Further expansion in Eastern and Southeastern Europe

- Acquisition of Polyform s.r.o., a manufacturer of EPS insulating materials in Slovakia and of Schaumaplast Polyform s.r.o., a manufacturer of EPS packaging materials

Delisting of the HIRSCH Servo AG at the Vienna Stock Exchange

New mechanical engineering building in Glanegg/Austria put into operation

2018
HIRSCH acquires three insulation manufacturing plants in Germany by April
from the French Saint-Gobain Group

On May, HIRSCH takes over 66% of the German Synbra subsidiary IsoBouw GmbH 
with four insulation manufacturing plants 

2019
HIRSCH establishes a competence center for Molded Pulp in Glanegg

2020
HIRSCH expands and the newly founded HIRSCH France SAS, a majority-owned subsidiary of HIRSCH Porozell GmbH, acquires six EPS insulation production facilities in France (Placoplatre) and takes over 49.9% of the French Isossol SAS with two additional plants. This makes the HIRSCH Servo Group the European market leader in EPS processing.
In November 2020 HIRSCH closes the "gap" in the European production network with the acquisition of Novopol a. s. and two plants in the Czech Republic. Also € 12 million will be invested in the development of the Group.

2021
HIRSCH acquires the Czech EPS packaging specialist Morapal S.r.o. with two production sites.
